mcdonalds. one day, just after closing,
i head back to the walk-in to put away
the remaining fries, only the door won't
open more than a crack. it's jammed on
something. i shove and i push and
finally it swings free to the tune of
roughly 3500 frozen 1/10 lb. all-beef
patties clinking against the floor like
a million low-limit poker chips. to my
surprise there's a guy in there, on the
floor, with the patties. he's naked.
covered in mayonaise. that's how i met
ken. to this day he refuses to tell me
what he was doing with the mayonaise and
the beef, and i think i'm okay with
that. we're just hoping that rash
clears up sometime soon.
