      • About Me:

I fall asleep easily, and on any surface of the house, be it the floor, couch, kitchen table, wherever. It is possible my cat and I have done some sort of soul switching, as it appears she has developed the urge to drive my truck and wear my clothes. I wish I could get her to come to work for me and advise my students. I am not sure how many students speak feline. I guess I would have to take a poll on that first. (Yawn)

Hmmm... where was I? Oh, about me. (Stretch) I am a musician, geographer, biologist-earth scientist who, through fault of the stars putting the Anne Landers whammy on my head, has become an advisor. I am good at listening (for hours) and giving advice. What I really want to be is an astro-biologist, but I suppose if I tried that line of work I would end up being abducted by some sort of intergalactic world terraforming organization for the purpose of advising planetless civilizations on where to rebuild and prosper. (Sigh) (Yawn) (Stretch) Too much bother.

In absence of more important things to do, I like to spend time with my horse, just hanging out or bandaging his latest injury, since he is something of a big dumb klutz who has more leg than brain. He is also very handsome and well bred, which often makes up for the klutz part.

I try to make myself write when I am not sleeping. (Yawn) Sometimes I do odd domesticy things like cook a bunch of food for the week on a Sunday night. Lately I have been watching Season 1 of Lost on DVD, as well as Season 2 of Dead Like Me.

I also try to be as boring as possible to make up for the fact that I am not actually boring at all. I can be quiet, though. My students and advisees often give me more credit than I deserve, while most people who don't know me at all give me less credit than I want.
        (Yawn) (Sigh)

Anyway, it is lunch time... I think I'll mosey over to the food bowl and see if anything is in it. (Stretch)
