About Me:
It is not easy to describe one's self in a paragraph or two but I will give it a try. I was born and raised here in Chula Vista. I have many interests, the main one being music. If my friends were to describe me, they would say I am a music freak. I go out a lot to see alot of shows. I am a lover of pop culture. I can spout off the names of a host of bad TV shows and bands from that era and seem to know waaayy too much about them. . I do a radio show at KCR (SDSU college radio) I am very easy to get along with and am laid back. I really value friendship and my personal relationships are essential to me. I love good conversation, I can spend hours talking with others . I try to keep a positive attitude, but sometimes the glass seems half empty sometimes there isn't even a fucking glass at all. I have patience for others but none for myself. I use 4 letter words quite liberally. I like to party, but don't drink a lot. I like beer but I hate wine. I can also be content staying home and hanging out. I like to go out to dinner, but I am very picky. I like to gamble but don't like losing money. I don't like sushi, in fact, I don't much care for anything that comes out of the ocean. I have been known to be a professional procrastinator. I like talk radio but hate Howard Stern. I am stubborn and opinionated, but I can also admit when I am wrong. I will bend over backwards for my friends. I love animals and would have tons of pets if I could swing it. I like the padres but would much rather watch them on TV than in person. I don't like crowds. I hate top 40 music. I can't stand reality TV, I love pizza but am lactose intolerant. I love soccer and baseball, but you couldn't pay me to sit through a basketball game. I love to go to the movies. I don't like sci fi or fantasy flicks. I remember going to see star wars when I was 10 and I remember being really fucking bored. No one seems to understand this. I am never late. I'm not flaky. . I am by no means perfect. I think that wo

ANway - Pete didn't need me to
introduce him to Luna - he was there
because he was already cool enough
to know. When I saw him the next night
i was even more shocked to find out
that he knew about Terrastock - a
festival I put on here in London. Wow. I
mean - Pete has got to be the coolest
guy in SD for certain. A lot of miles, a
lot of years - but always the same
wavelength.
em
was a friend of my exboyfriend - like
way back - 20yrs old or so - and not
only liked the wonderstuff - but he had
this cool compilation of 70s music that
had abba on it. he had cool 70s
records before they were retro chic -
that's how far ahead of the game this
guy is. anyway, i moved away (far
away) and well, basically lost touch
with most of the old gang (including
pete & my ex b-f). I still live far away,
but go back to SD for the odd visit. A
couple of years ago I went back and
ran into Pete. That was odd for two
reasons. One because it's always odd
to run into someone you haven't seen
in 15 years. but most of all odd -
because after 15 years I'd go back to
visit old friends and have absolutely
nothing to talk about with them - they
never knew the bands i liked - they
didn't understand me at all. (blah blah
blah) and then there's Pete - the only
one of my old friends in the Casbah
watching Luna that didn't
corner of Santa Monica and La Brea in
Hollywood and he was dressed in drag.
He was standing in the Carls Jr.
parking lot on a Friday night with the
other girls and I asked him where he
got his cool shoes at and he told me
that he beat some other drag queen up
and stole them. That was the moment I
knew he and I would be friends for a
long time.
anybody should... and I can handle that,
but when he starts going on and on about
Celine Dion I want to slap him with my
Titanic Soundtrack... on vinyl.
I'm lazy about email. AND he likes the
Guess Who. Solid!
and a soothing voice for the radio...
and probably your bedroom, too.
