      • About Me:

Im a straight shooter (thats the only part of me thats
straight) so I tell it like it is. I know that I have a lot of eccentricities that might make you think Im a snooze, but youd be surprised at my
willingness to explore new things. In fact, I love
exploring new things with people who already have an
interest in them. In the next answer, I put down what I
would like in a relationship, but really I am more
interested in meeting new people than I am in a committed
        relationship. Im certainly willing and
ready to date people and, yes, this church boy enjoys sex
just as much as anyone else. I am serious but love to
laugh. You can tell from my other answers that I do
enjoy substantive conversations, and truthfully I'm not
good at small talk. I'm a bit shy at parties or such but
love getting up in front of audiences to speak. I have fire and passion about both my politics and particularly my spirituality, which I believe
is calling me to be a pastor, probably to gay and lesbian
folks. That may sound boring to some of you, but I think
        Christianity has been given a bad wrap. It isn't like being bored or dead; it makes me feel genuinely alive. I love helping other people;
particularly counseling gays who e-mail me after reading
my coming out story (which is at www.cathedralofhope.com/comingout/stories/tom_asimos.php )
I'm not artistic, but I love to write. I did not inherit
the gay gene for style or rhythm. I have no qualms
whatsoever about telling people Im gay but if you are
looking for some cookie cutter queen, Im not the person
for you. Because of my lack of rhythm and my issues with
small talk, Im not the life of the party and I dont
really enjoy the club scene, though I will go out in
moderation. As if you cant tell, I love to talk (for
Gods sake, Im going to be a preacherits a
prerequisite). I like nothing better than sitting back
relaxing with someone and having a discussion ab

      • Who I Want to Meet:

I would like to meet someone who is genuinely caring and generous. I want someone who brings out the best in me, not caters to my worst instincts. I also want someone who can respect my values without thinking that makes me boring; someone who can be laid back and who I can take adventures with or just sit and chill or cuddle in the case of a boyfriend. I'd love to have a body builder as a boyfriend, but I'm a realist and actually someone who was so stuck on himself as to think his body is the end all would turn me off. Of course, appearances matter, but I am truly looking for a quality person.
