About Me:
I enjoy being a very feminine girl. I read a lot--I'm a total information junkie and can't seem to settle on any one genre or media which makes me spastic but great at parties. I love my friends and organizing friend adventures. I'm a compulsive exerciser--not so bad as addictions go. I love to sing and dance...in skirts and heels. Words make me happy, as do people who are similarly thrilled by language. I adore sarcasm (nice-mean, not mean-mean) and folks who are adept at it are instant chums. I'm a walker (seriously, I never ditched this grade-school distinction as I have never had a license) and newly awakening to the joys of being a biker in Boston so long as one avoids death.
Life is such a huge unknown, which is both exhilarating and daunting. I try to be an adventurer, accepting of that titillating and inevitable dichotomy, but, sometimes I wish I had at least a loose script from which to improvise. I'm critical and analytical and rational, but also very emotionally driven. I think in dichotomies--try to accept life's complexities (global and personal) and soak up as much information as I can to help me understand and not avoid. Accepting cognitive dissonance and mining that inherent tension is how one learns...at least that's what I think :)
I've had terrifying experiences that early instilled a fear in me I've worked hard at exorcising. The last few years have been joyful and transformative. I look forward to future transformations with excitement and trepidation....and I also try to chill the fuck out and live in the moment...try. Because I'm only 28, YAY!

new girly-smart-friends, readers, movie-goers, dinner eaters, game players, story tellers, art makers, bike riders, adventure takers, fun lovers, life livers and intelligent leches
People who don't take themselves too seriously and don't take me too seriously either, for that matter
The 2 state solution. Howard Zinn, Erik Prince, Jimmy Carter and Jeff Bezos. Maybe at the same time? And Oh, My God, Chomsky.

I think she appreciates the efffort, tho.
mandy hates: sand on her towel
were all singing Somewhere Over the
Rainbow and Amanda has a beautiful
voice! And, she knew the lyrics, and
after that or maybe it was another time
everyone was dancing and Amanda can
really get the groove on! I mean, she's
the best person to go to a party with.
Invite her.
hot.
- she is able to simultaniously read the
economist while exercizing
- she is always willing to try new foods
such as black eyed peas...
- she can tell you more about world
news than the nytimes and herald
tribune together
- she is willing to talk to spazy people
when they are in the gym wearing
spandex shorts and sweating profusely
and she will still be nice to them.
for all this and more we love amanda!!
