About Me:
This is written by Carmen because, the truth is, my mom is a humble woman. Which I don't understand, because she is sooooo Cool. I mean really cool. Not only was she the fabulous, popular speaker at a recent national convention for 101 Exciting Ways to Start a Language Class, but she makes incredible artwork out of soil and wood, has a strong and peaceful presence and makes others simply feel good about themselves by being with her. Yes, she has had some moments. Like when we caught her dancing and singing to "I wish I were an Oscar Meyer Weiner." Or the night she locked herself in her room after finding out that Gloria, the hamster was unfortunately not just fat, but impregnanted by her "sister", Henrietta (Henry). That was the first, of several, nervous breakdowns by my mom. No matter. Like she has always reminded me, "it just builds character."

In case you couldn't tell already, my mom is the Greatest! She is one of the few people I know who gets younger and younger all the time. She is joyful and deep, she listens well and shares generously and she may worry that she talks about herself too much, but it's not true. The more she shares, the more impossible it is to not have the utmost respect and love for this lady! She's just the best and good at so many things that I am not, that it just blows me away...like gardening, creating, ritualizing, meditating, speaking and teaching Spanish...and on and on. In case you didn't know already, she was a Primier Presenter in a National Teaching Convention on 101 Ways to Begin a Language Class. But believe me, her good ideas extend way beyond 101...just wait and see...
