when we first met, she wore a pair of
boots that looked as if they were won
off a dead man in an everglades
saloon. in time i grew to know her in
greater depth, and she revealed a
coterie of footwear couture ranging
from battered sneakers to red
sparkling flip-flops. just as i begin to
feel that i know her, she survives two
dance numbers in stiletto-heeled
ankle boots; once again i feel our
entire relationship has been brought
into question.
about putting your cat on friendster so
it can get messages from other cat
friends (and human friends) that they
have lost contact with...I think Leah
is on to something BIG with
this...something really, really big...
much more safe and secure in these
uncertain times. Every day I look at her
picture on screen and I think "gee, I bet it
was hard on my mom when our cat died, but
I bet my little sister could care less... sigh..."
Actually, that was more of today's reaction to
the image. I'm living in the moment with this
testimonial. Critics will look back on it 10
years later and it will feel very dated. Unlike
this testimonial, Leah is timeless.
