time she damn well pleases.
in 1996 and she had etnies in every color. she
was my first friend who dressed cooler than i
did. umm ashley made me this great picture
frame that i still have and she came with me to
some prom homecoming thing wearing pink
socks and pink heels because we were eighties
nostalgic before the rest of the world. so i
went to her disco bowling in danville with all
her blonde friends. ashley let me stash my shit
at her flat in london when i was heartbroken
and not a lot of fun. ashley just walked right
up to those dudes in the park and started
playing soccer with them. that impressed me.
i wonder when i will see ashley again. she is a
true hooha lady beast, and i miss having her
on the speed dial.
that I think she's kind of delusional.
Not only does she fashion herself the
second coming of Joan Jett, but to this
day she still claims to have been a
better long distance runner than my
friend Thad because she beat him at the
800 when he was hungover and stopping
every 90 feet for a cigarette break.
Apparently, she was heard telling
her "Blind Date" how she used to
dominate cross country in high school,
but I know the true story.

considering last time I saw her she was
wearing hypercolor socks and had four
inch tall bangs (and nothing else on).
But when I look back to those
traumatizing years of high school
lunacy, I can only assume me and my
idiot friends did not do her any favors
by daily harassment of her home from
the relative comfort of our cheap
automobiles. But you know what, I like
this girl. She's a sport. She didn't
react like a moron would. People were
also pretty mean to her, in my
recollection. But she didn't react like
a moron would then either. She just
kept on being herself. Good for you,
Teplin. Just so you know, about three
weeks ago, Thad and Chris came over and
we cruised Richard Lane and gave your
house the deluxe treatment. Feel
honored. See you at the ten year
reunion.
