pilot-guy who was coming to New York and who
would be able to then bring back whatever
goodies people wanted to send. Michael and I ran
around during our lunch hour, hemming and
hawing over which American delicacies were
most worthy of a trip overseas. We finally settled
on combos (original cheese flavor), cheez
doodles, some good ol' fashioned Thanksgiving
candy and various Duane Reade knick-knacks.
It's rare that the Jewish Mom in me comes out in
such full force, but we really wanted to send Ian
(via the pilot) the best care package ever. We had
to leave the bag with the concierge at a hotel
nearby. He already knew the pilot was picking up
a bunch of packages and assured us it was fine.
It was all so very Casablanca. I was relieved to
hear that Ian loved the package. But that part
wasn't because of the Jewish Mom in me. It's just
because I love Ian.
you. Been so long since I've been
Eonized. You look great. Must be all
that fresh air and cheese.
whatever you want to call him, he is a
super star in the making and a super
kind soul.
