      • camp becket poses an important
questions: why does it have so many
female friendsters despite its status as
a camp for boys. i think this can be
        attributed to chimney girls' sweatshirt
envy. there really isnt much like a
        becket hoodie...

      • Camp Becket is truly one of the greatest
places on earth. As I sit in front of the
computer in my final days of college I
can truthfully say to this day I am still
realizing just how important my time
there is. Camp Becket and all the
amazing people who work there have
molded and shaped me since I was 12.
You can't learn what this summer camp
can teach you anywhere else. This
place shows boys how to be men. It is
for everyone and anyone who has ever
        wanted to help someone else.

"Through our Becket days we travel with
our purpose strong, doing deeds of love
and service as we pass along." I will be
a becket man for the rest of my days.

      • i def. love camp becket, esp. since
i've been living there for the past
year, having sold my soul to the
outdoor center. i'm a loyal chimney
girl, but w/o becket there'd be no
chimney! my uncles (back in the day),
cousins, and brother have all been
apart of your "loyal band." becket has
been apart of my fam. for over 50 yrs.,
so thanks for all you've done. and to
learn even more about the magical place
        we call camp becket, visit:

but soon to be totally redone and
        looking fabulous, courtesy of the
        current CB prog. director).

      • About Me:

The Two State YMCA founded me in 1903. I was established as "a
place of beauty, a center of happiness, a strong educational force,
with a deep spiritual influence." I am located high in the Berkshires
of western Massachusetts on 1,350 acres in the town of Becket.
Conscientious efforts have been made to protect the natural
beauty of my environment. My facilities are attractive and well
maintained to provide for safe, enjoyable living in a rustic outdoor
        setting.

Miles of hiking trails crisscross me. I serve family style meals in the
Paul Dudley White Dining Hall. I have complete on-site health
center, staffed by three nurses and a physician. All equipment
necessary for a quality camping program is provided by me. My
other facilities include a Creative Arts Center, Darkroom, Graphic
Arts Studio, Tennis Courts, Swimming and Boating Areas, Archery,
Riflery, Athletic Fields, Basketball and Volleyball Courts, Ropes
Course, Library, Nature (Environmental Learning) Center and
        Auditorium.

Supposed to be celebrating my centennial this year, but Friendster
seems to expect users to be a maximum of 83 years old.

Currently I am hitched to the old ball and chain, Chimney Corners.
She should be joining Friendster in a few days.
