Why does everything in nyc come with a bag and a straw? At my bodega by work every morning without fail they try to give me a bag and a straw and when i decline they offer me a napkin.... there is so much garbage in nyc it freaks me out sometimes. i really cant think about it but I can say no to the bag and straw...
I love nyc even though every time I venture to the Pacific Northwest I wonder why I do not live there! My family and I went on a field trip to see The Daily Show and someone asked John Stewart why he doesnt run for office. He said "Somewhere in a shoebox in someones closet collecting dust there is a picture of me sticking my dick in a tub of I can't believe its not butter", so he said he will not run...that is a great story
A few of my favorite things: the Henry Hudson bike path, Moma, Diners, the Belgian mussel bar on west 4th, the A train, the little old men in my hood that walk around with their radios with huge antennaes, Fairway on 125, Harlem, Lotus, swanky hotel bars like the Gansevoort and the Maritime, my favorite chinese back rub place on Grand street, Coney Island (the cyclone, shoot the freak, and beers on the beach) and the Aquarium (especially the walrus), and old brownstones.

I am a city girl however, I wish I could spend every summer in Cape Cod reading, laying out on the beach, kayaking and sailing, drinking margaritas at 5 and throwing pottery in my basement.

Life has been good to me. I love teaching, and now I am working in wine distribution on the side... So if you have a restaurant or bar... I'm your chica!
