About Me:
I was born a poor black child. I remember the days sitting on the porch with my family singing and dancing, down in Mississippi. Okay, I'm kidding. Really I was born at Andrews Air Force Base in MD and was an only child for four glorious years then my younger sister came along (just kidding Becky, you know I love you) We lived in Alexandria, VA for most of my life (except for four years in Kansas). It's right near D.C. and I love that area, everyone should visit. Anyway when I was looking for colleges my parents told me they were going to move to the south and they wanted me to apply to southern schools so I could be near them. So I did and I got accepted to Centenary in Louisiana (where my parents both graduated from) and went there....then my parents didn't move. So I was stuck in Shreveport. I hated it. To be honest I met some really good people there (including the guy who would become my husband) but I also met some really crappy people there. But I stuck it out for four years. I was engaged to a guy named Chet but that didn't work out to well. So I was horribly lonely and looking to get back to Virgnia as soon as I graduated but then I was introduced to Chris (aforementioned husband). Our courtship was an intersting one to say the least but it turned out we made a pretty damn good couple. We have a lot in common and both of us can be pretty childish, he makes me laugh all the damn time so that's good. Anyway, the economy wasn't doing to well in Shreveport so we decided to move to Colorado Springs, Chris' mom even paid for me to move out there even though she'd only met me once. We lived in Colorado Springs for 2 years. In May of 2003 Chris and I got married because I just couldn't handle living in sin anymore ;) Then in September of 2003 we loaded up a uhaul and moved to Long Beach, CA where we currently reside. I work at the front desk of a Holiday Inn and I am going to school to get my english education credential.

with those people in your life who you
shared so much with for so long. I met
Kathryn her freshman year of college.
I still remember vividly sitting on the
tailgate of my truck one night after
some rehearsal for some play we were
doing and talking for what seems like
hours. It probably was, because, as
everyone knows, I like to talk. I
think we pretty much became fast
friends that night discussing how
people need to keep their noses out of
other people's business. (Not talking
about either one of us, of course.) We
might not talk that often; actually,
the last time we talked was when the
moving van was pulling out, but I know
she is still the same Kathryn, and I'm
still the "weakling weighing 98
pounds." Love this fiery red head!
Everyone else should, too.
myself on the kitchen floor at the
Rutherford Street apartment?
To this day, that evening is one of the
most important of my life. Girl, that's
saying a HELLUVA LOT.
And....Christ. I FINALLY saw Josie &
the Pussycats tonight! And now I
understand. It. You. The world
perhaps. .......I'll leave the world
out of it.
Guess what, Kathryn. You absolutely
rock.
I would also like to bestow upon you
and Chris my warmest blessings upon
your marriage. Please accept my
apologies that it has taken so long for
me to do so.
But I think you just might understand
why.
I'm so glad you've found your
happiness.
Never forget those pictures on my
bedroom walls, pretty girl.
No matter what.
Love Always,
Erik
Anyway, if somebody had told me the 5
or 6 years ago when we first met that
this nutty red-headed freshman girl
(who was working with me on making S&M
costumes for a bunch of transvestites
pretending to be lesbians) was going to
someday be married to my brother(who at
the time lived about a thousand miles
away), and that we were all going to
move to California to be in a punk rock
band, I would've told them they were
high.
Funny how things work out.
