APPLESIDEUP. Have a bite. Savor the sound. Digest.
Apples’ sound is an alternative pop rock, mostly influenced by Gin Blossoms, Vertical Horizon, The Beatles, Incubus, Audioslave, ShadesApart, Switchfoot, Flyleaf, to name a few.
The name Applesideup was created sometime in late 2007 when Siopao, Marky, and Caloy are in search for a vocalist that will fit the groups’ music and interests. During the late 2008, the band started performing their original songs with different Music productions. Jenny began to jam with the Apples on May 30, 2009 and they continue to compose new songs.
Applesideup continuously improves and develops their musicality through experimenting and sharing everyone’s creativity. Playing and accepting new ideas and comments with different Indie Artists helps the Band a lot to discover their own sound.
Five original songs of the band are lined up for final recording this year. “It’s like listening to a soundtrack in one of the television series in primetime!” quoted Kate, vocalist of Pisenlav Band, after hearing the song Himbing in one of the gigs. (Himbing came into life with the help of Generoso Brandy in one of Siopao and Marky’s adventures in Fiestas).
Other 6 songs are currently arranging for the next batch of recording hopefully next year.
