I grew up in the 'burbs, where chinese food was out of a can and pizza was square. Since then I find I am most comfortable in a city with good public transportation and decent Thai and pizza within walking distance. I have 3 advanced degrees yet can change a bike tire and put in a stone walkway, so I am not an ivory tower egghead. The picture is taken in Amsterdam about 5 years ago. I am somewhat of a digital Luddite, I like real pictures.

Anyone who makes me think and makes me laugh--both is better. Someone who is not freaked out by intelligence or arguments. Someone who can swim, who likes dogs and cats, and pulls out a lady's chair at a restaurant.
