Though I have no money I must give myself what I need.

caught me peddling pictures, the store detectives twisting
my wrists pull stockings out of my sleeves. They curse
me, I call them lovers.

elizabeth, the clouds parted, and a
paper cut-out of the holy grail
descended from the heavens. i was
frightened, but i knew it was the start
of something beautiful. then we sang
together at brandy's and the deal
was sealed. i never see enough of
elizabeth.
