that there's no way he could do it with
his collar up...so we commend him on
not only style but practicality.
workout everyday..like i currently am.... i
will get fat again.... he has messed up
my mind....nevertheless .... brilliant and

His locution is articulate, precise,
and beautiful. This was a first and
lasting impression. As his friend,
however, I should like to add to this
seemingly superficial observation the
following assessment: Hank, like few
I've met, appreciates complexity. He
is an aficionado of detail. He is
perspicacious to a degree that I
thought impossible for a gay man. He
has a refined palate, and a disposition
for fine liquor. He can explain the
biochemistry of the brain, and of
emotion, although he is thankfully too
sensitive to be an all-out Materialist.
He is sharp, a self made man, warm-
Southern, profound. And, despite my
attempts to describe him, he is a
dancer perhaps best described as a
person by how he dances: twirling, at
once both compact and centrifugal,
achieving a kind of centered
explosiveness, commanding space. I
hear he is looking for dance partners,
but be forewarned; the bar is set
deliciously high. Lucky you, lucky
