      • I'd like to get Zeb a kitten, a puppy, or
some sort of furry animal. An aquadic
creature might lend a more spirtual
presence, but hark ... the bond between
        warm-blooded vertebrate of the class
        Mammalia cannot be understated.

Darkness falls soon here in ATL. The
winter storms from the Atlanta are
without tender hearts. Over the past fort
night the mighty ocean has taken souls
and left misery in it's wake. Such is the
eeb and flow of life. Albeit dim, there is
still a light of hope, promise, and
optimism. Alas ... I found my cruciable
of joy. It is filled with mischievous
greetings and delights for all those that
partake. It is not meant for the weak
mind; nor can those willing mearly waft
its aroma. A strong one may hold this
curciable close and inhale with the
speed of a thousand knots. I can tell
you ..oh dear friend, for my last
experience I found color, glorious color
from the sounds provided by great
        minstrels; Lehman-ofsky, Moran-hoven,
        and Young-zart. Alas....

      • Zeb is quite possibly the most awesome
person I know- I have never met anyone
who is so crazily smart AND so down to
earth and fantastic that you cannot help
but love him! I'm so happy that I met him!

      • oh wow. this guy's great. i swear i've
yet to meet anyone else who could make
me laugh without any apparent effort.
it's like he's got it down to a science
or something. oh yes. he was the one
who inspired me to lighten up otherwise
dull and drab situations. all his
encouragement. one such instance, and i
still remember this vividly, we were
eating together after a class, and i
chose to make a joke during a
        particularly somber moment. i probably
shouldn't have done it while zeb was
busy trying to chew. but that was a
very proud moment for me. oh yes. very
        proud.

      • Zeb likes cheese. And therefore, Zeb is
cool. Wait, does Zeb like cheese? I
entirely hope he entirely does, because
the entire status of his entire coolness
is entirely conditional upon whether or
not he entirely likes the entire range
of cheeses one could buy in this entire
world (this entire sentence is one
entire experiment in how many times I
can put entire or one of its entire
        range of forms, eg entirely,
        entifuckingriffic, etc, in one entire
        sentence while still remaining entirely
        grammatically correct. I'm not entirely
sure what it has to do with letting you
know entirely everything about Zeb, but
maybe I'll figure it entirely out by the
        time tomorrow is entirely gone).
Anyways, where was I... who are you?!?
And, goddamnit, what is this green thing
        on my arm?

Who was I talking about again? I do so
many of these damn things [Editor's
note: this is his first] that I always
forget who the latest asshole..... I
mean, "friend," is. Oh yeah, Zeb.
        Zeb-o-rooter. Zeb-o-roni, the San
Francisco treat! Zeb, Zeb, Zeb. It
rolls off the tongue like butta, baby.
"Zeb" is definitely something you can
say five times quickly without messing
up, since you know, it's only one
        syllable. ZEBZEBZEBZEBZEB. Men like
        that don't come along everyday,
        obviously. Anyways, Zeb's cool, because
he likes cheese. At least, I think he
        does....

      • Even tho I've only hung out with Zeb on
the basketball courts of SCU, I can tell
he's a great person. He plays hard,
always hustles, has a great attitude,
and knows how to have fun. He is
extremely strong and will rip the ball
away from you (i've been a victim
several times). I can see this 'passion
for life' that everybody else is talking
about...he plays to enjoy the game...zeb
knows how to bring out the smiles on the
        court.

      • Zeb is the most profoundly joyful soul
you'll ever meet. His passionate &
enthusiastic approach to life was an
inspiration to me during our college
years, & I carry it with me still. If
you think a person can only withstand a
little taste of joy, you've got to meet
        Zeb.

      • About Me:

Here played out before us all is a clash, not of good against evil, but rather something more. There are clashes of judgment, clashes among different interpretations of what is good and what is just, and clashes over who is to suffer the wages of evil born of our best intentions. This is a story enacted by us all, a love story, a story of untold beauty, a story of hatred and rage - this is the Iliad. This is the tale of how we, we ourselves; you and I choose to share whatever gifts and abilities we have with the world, even when perhaps especially when, those abilities are overwhelmed by the task at hand. It is a story we pen each moment of our lives, not about Emperors and Gods but about mortals and fools, and how we wish ourselves, our lives to be.

We are, all of us, bards, and we sing our tale each moment around dorms and carpools and along cafeteria lines at work and school. If we share our stories with one another, refine them with our collective wisdom there is no telling what wonders we may achieve. Together we may enact a story of how humanity ought to be and through its retelling evolve as individuals and a group. We will craft our tale together, make it grander, more holistic and share it with those willing to listen. New troubadours will join their song with ours and our discourse will give birth to new friendships and ideas.

As friends we shall quest for answers with an eager willingness to provoke change not only in others but also in ourselves. We must searchingly ask the questions so many have stopped asking. What sort of world are we leaving for our children to cope with, what happens when our institutions no longer reflect the truth of our own experience and how do we respond to injustices that seem systemic and overwhelming? We must awaken to the very life we are living which is so excellent many of us dont even notice its majesty. First our petty desires, idle thoughts and pessimism must not dissuade us from our mission, but

      • Who I Want to Meet:

rather serve, as inspiration for what we know must be done. Then, only then may we begin to heal, one person at a time starting with ourselves. I realize this may seem to be the tallest of tall orders, crafting a finer world always is, but take comfort in this.

Life is about accepting flaws and virtues, about spreading hope and optimism in an age of cynical apathy. Realizing amongst the most ordinary there are heroes waiting to be forged. Our actions, our Iliad will be a resplendent message to our successors future. We must confront the future responsibly, not modestly, not unself-consciously and certainly not with faith in a power greater than ours to descend from the sky to set things right despite our best efforts to foul up. We have an obligation to know who we are, where we are and what we can do. We have a responsibility to understand the ramifications of of the things we do and to choose to do them or not with our eyes wide open.
