A review by Very Important Poet Ron Silliman of a MUCH better book of mine, languishing in unpublished-land: http://tinyurl.com/3e8es
Actually, my puppet wrote that book; he has a flogspot: http://lesters.blogspot.com/
FORMER Carrboro Poet Laureate (phew); (ex?) web artist; graduate
student in information science at UNC Chapel Hill School
of Information and Library Science studying text mining, knowledge discovery and information synthesis in the biomedical sciences. I travel every chance I
get; the goal is to see as much of the world before I shuffle off this, well, you know. We all die sooner than we plan. Volunteering for cooperativeresearch.org. Proximate.org was my first web art project that made the international gallery scene (touch me because I'm relevant). I founded and run the Carrboro Poetry Festival (http://carrboropoetryfestival.org). I have a bio page, of course, for my narcissicm shows no bounds (http://proximate.org/bio/). I'm a daddy now (http://proximate.org/gallery/) and love every minute of it. Daddyism sure beats poetry. The wonder of daddyhood outdoes any of the scary stuff.

Who I Want to Meet:
Hi.
I want to get to know you.
I am so glad I found you available.
I wish to shake your hand and thank you.
Thanks.
It's great to reach out and finally shake hands with you.
I think of you often.
I miss you often.
I do.
I often think about what it would be like to be here with you.
And now, here I am at last.
Say, do you think I am attractive?
Maybe it's the haircut.
Or perhaps the shape of my nose.
Oh, c'mon.
Stop laughing.
This is not funny and you know it.
You don't see my face, and I'm right here with you?
Of course you do.
I thought sooner or later you'd come to your senses.

On the first day I met Patrick - which
was my first day at a new job, I was
surprised to discover, through
personality profiles, that he and I
were almost exactly alike. I don't
know if that is flattering for him or
scarey for me... regardless, he's a
good guy and I miss seeing him around
the office. :-)
