About Me:
I am one of the busiest seaports in the world. Also home to
the largest navy base in the world. While I have 3
universites within my city limits, I am far from a college
town. It is a challenge to find any good music on my
airwaves and in my nightclubs, but every now and then there
are exceptions. I once had a fabulous trolley system, but presently as far as public transportation goes, I
have a lot to learn from places like NYC, DC, and Seattle.
I have been burned in the Revolutionary War, the War of
1812, and the War of Northern Agression (civil war for you yankees) and I am still kicking ass. I survived a yellow fever epidemic at the turn of the century although my population was decimated. I have
also survived hurricanes that made Isabel look like an
afternoon shower.
Some proud moments from my past include hosting the Jamestown Exposition of 1907. This was the 300th anniversary of the settlers colonizing Jamestown. Albert Einstein and Mark Twain were among the clelbs in attendance. I was also home to the Virginia Squires, the major league basketball team that Julius Irving played for in the 1970s.
If only I could annex Shore Dr. and the North End of VA.
Beach; then I would feel complete.
Many creative and talented people have come from or passed
through Norfolk.... and then they left.
I dig mermaids..... lots of mermaids.
Oh yeah, Peta is here.

Full House moment...me and Bob Saget
went to the same elementary and high
schools...I remember at fifth grade
graduation they played the Bob Saget
video made especially for us!...Norfolk
is good for something after all
my cities. Even if you do not own the
north section of VA Beach, you have the
satisfaction of knowing that you built
VA Beach from nothing more than one
hundred years ago. Furthermore, your
Botanical Garden brings me great pride.
You are a credit to your Commonwealth.
resulted in a realization that nothing
could ever be more of a home than you
are to me. i think im staying.
the debaucherous adventures, wonderful
memories, and incredible ppl. You were

The countdown is on to where I must
depart and say g'bye to head on up to
Baltimore ...
