progressed much from the first time I
met him at Vassar sporting a "Where's
Dildo" t-shirt as he sat here with a
condescending grin on his face. Far he
has come since the days of breaking
dormitory chairs when I would score
a "wrap-around" goal on him in NHL '97,
and Dave would race out of the room
fearing for his life. Far he has gone:
to Seattle where he mastered the arto f
catching acorns in between his toes and
he frolicked in the wilderness sporting
nothing but a loincloth and
Birkenstocks. Returned he has to his
true NYC roots, and glad I am to have
him back although I don't think I've
seen him since his return. Close he is
to my heart, as he will remain, always
a good friend....unless he leaves to
pursue dreams of becoming a
professional goat-herder.

job writing for the show "Pokemon", and in a failed
attempt to explain what I was up to recently, I started
babbling on and on about how I was trying to tap into
the zeitgeist of "having the muppet babies fight each
other to the death". I really hope he didn't think I was
too crazy. Anyway, point being that Dan has always
been such a rocktacular guy (and I went from
kindergarten to college with the guy, so that "Always"
goes back a ways) that whenever I see him I feel an
urge to impress him and stay within his aura of
rocktacularosity. And to his credit and my joy, he's
always had a hearty "what up" for me despite my
bizarre ramblings. Cheers to you, sir.
