sent me up the river, across the
border to find him. The one they
called "Shultz." He was amazing.
Made it thru so many OPUSes, and
he wasn't a kid himself anymore. I
was given to one of those light-water
boats. The crew were kids, a
buncha rock'n'rollers with one foot in
the grave. It was a long ride. Soon
after we got there, with some
casualties, we were met by Col.
Shultz's militia. They took
us prisoner and then decapitated
the spastic one. They beat me and
put me in a cave. I remember the
light coming in and the man was
sitting there himself in front of me.
He read to me from the Hollow Men.
He told me I was an errand boy sent
by shop keepers to collect a grocery
bill. Or some crap. What happens
when you talk to those who shave
their heads and speak in metaphor.
The type of horror that could only
come from Detroit. If you meet the
Buddha on the road, I guess...

sensitive and vulnerable. He's an amazing guy
who will always give you the perspective you
need to hear. He's perhaps one of the best
huggers I know, and he can make one of the
best mix cds for you without you even asking.

an amazingly special package, but Jon is
even more than that too. He's one of the
