Comics, Manga, Art Books on Animation & Comics, Encyclopaedias (that's right), Tolkien, unusual type books.. lately been reading a lot of classic English literature like Little Women, The Age of Innocence and stuff like that..

Iron Man, Batman Begins, Dark Knight (mostly due to the Joker), Hellboy, Edward Scissorhands, The Count of Monte Christo, Ray, the Godfather Trilogy, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Gladiator, Se7en, Friday, Next Friday, Blood In Blood Out, the Shawshank Redemption, Scent of A Woman, Ocean's Eleven, various Anime movies (esp. Miyazaki's stuff), Walt Disney movies, Donnie Brasco, Braveheart, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Usual Suspects, Crimson Tide, Training Day, Remember the Titans, etc. I love most movies with Johnny Depp! Finally, the Snowman (a 1982 British cartoon adapted from Raymond Brigg's book of the same title)

Genres: Jazz, Acoustic stuff, Blues, Hip Hop, Rap and R&B, Oldies, and Indon music of course.. Artists: Eric Clapton, Ray Charles, Bee Gees, the Carpenters, the Eagles, Michael Jackson, RHCP, Sting, Lighthouse Family, the Strokes, Usher, Beyonce, Destiny's Child, Nat King Cole, Melly Goeslaw, Dewa, Mocca, etc.

Star Trek (TNG, Voyager & Enterprise), the Simpsons, Futurama, Southpark, Friends, the Late Show with David Letterman, various cartoons & anime (esp. St. Seiya & Cowboy Bebop), documentaries, etc. And i think Scrubs is a brilliant show.

Pisces

I think of myself as a fun-loving, laid-back sort of character. I am selectively meticulous but for the most part, i am easy going, being able to let the little things slide. I love meeting people, talking to strangers, traveling, and basically anything that allows me to interact with a lot of people. I have spent 11 of my 27 years abroad, i've been to 4 continents and lived on 3. So i have seen a lot of the world, or at the very least, many little pockets of the world.

I am contradiction; a strange mix of the artsy and the logical, i love how technology has made life that much more convenient but, at the same time, long for old-school methods. I love the contemporary but prefer the traditional in certain aspects. I can be a romantic at times, but i am better know by my cold outward demeanor. I love the moderns and the classics at the same time. I listen to hip hop and adore oldies. Go figure! I am always striving to be a bit different from the others, somehow i do not entirely enjoy conforming to other people's standards when they differ from my own. Besides, i just like standing out of the crowd :)

I have been a factory assembly worker, a stock taker, a furniture mover, a fire and water damage restoration worker, a construction worker, part of a demolitions crew, a teacher, as well as a writer, facilitator, and program developer for an educational NGO.

I can't seem to get stuck doing one thing for too long. It makes me feel like i'm not moving and i should be trying new things.

And anyway, isn't that what we should all be doing? Trying new things and make our lives as interesting as they can be? I have been blessed with having known a myriad of people, friends, and loved ones from around the globe; each with their own personalities and quirks. Moving on is never easy, most times it's hard. But what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger.

As my dear high school drama teacher, Mr. David Desmond, used to say (if you're out there, Mr. D, get in touch!) "Don't be ordinary!"

I like to think that i'm not.
And if you're think that i'm not, don't hesitate to drop me a line. It's nice to be reminded from time to time =)
