About Me:
I'm curious and kind of impatient. I get distracted pretty easily. The last two sentences pretty well define my college career, which was longer than a lot people's who aren't called Dr.
I came out twice, once at 16 for a couple months ("phase" ) and again at 19 (seems pretty unlikely to be a phase at this point.) Oddly, many people were surprised to hear I was gay the second time around.
I'm kind of news junkie and I'm pretty into politics. I work in a congressional office, and was a little disappointed to find out meetings aren't held while speed-walking like on West Wing. On the other hand, free coffee.
I'm a native Portlander, but my Mom's British. I get annoyed when people ask me why I don't have an accent, and when people put on fake English accents. You know who you are ....Kim Gaffi. Once in High School, a girl in my geometry class told me she wanted to adopt British babies because they would have an accent. Ok, she was rock-dumb, and I knew that going in, but still, I wanted to punch her in the head.
I'm a little ambivalent about camping. I know Oregonians are supposed to love camping but I usually get bored. I don't mind it if there's a reason for it... like that, sleeping in a whitewater raft is impractical. But car camping "car camping" at a big crowded camp site is more like being a refugee than being on vacation...and you have three cases of Pabst. Nothing against Pabst.
I really like ski trips and beach cabins.

Who I Want to Meet:
Guys who are funny, smart and cute. A little dorky is okay too. I like people who like to talk. I'd also like to meet people who want to get better at tennis and go for bike rides in the summer. Whiskey drinkers. Log cabin Republican...so I can photograph, catalogue and study you for science.

John is a good friend because he will
tell you when your outfit is ugly, when
you are too drunk (which is never more
than him), and always willing to go out
and have a great time. I miss you Mr.
John! PS. When are you coming to DC to
cruise around Dupont Circle?
