About Me:
i don't always use shampoo. i hid in bathroom stalls as a
child. i appreciate people who take pride in something
that they make. i don't think new york is the only
important city in the world. i think the most important
places aren't cities. i like chocolate, mirrors. my initials
are j.a.p. but at least i didn't wind up with the name my
mother wanted to give me (jesse-hawk). my sister has
a middle name that my dad made up (laoni). i think
driving is better than flying. i get angry when people use
the term "redneck" off-handedly. most of the older people i
knew growing up were dying of cancer. i think most people aren't honest enough. that's too bad...
i'm not a doctor.
"The world and life are one"..."I am my world."

Who I Want to Meet:
smart people. eccentrics. people incredibly passionate
about something very specific. mainly...good people
who recognize that kindness is more important than
ambition, wealth, or intelligence.
and people who know that collards are the best green vegetable, horton foote is a living saint, and dahlonega, not california, had the first american gold rush. pudding lovers. emersonians. synesthetes.

me outreminds me of writing a
eulogy. That said I'm going to make an
exception for Jamie:
This kid oozes with genius and charm.
A real sweetheart too. I look forward to
seeing his name accross billboards or
in the sky (like the Batman symbol).
superstar dual student at both Columbia
and NYU. His energy is unstoppable. We
saw Spiderman together at this big-ass
theatre on the UES, fought for seats,
but not before James darted to a nearby
CVS for Charleston Chews. I had never
had them before and now I eat them all
the time and think of James. THe sucky
part is, I've never been in town when
he has these rad parties- i vow to get
to the next one! I also vow to get as
much energy as he does someday and to
be in his next movie. A very snarky
individual which I completely
appreciated on my side during NYU
throwdowns with shitty wannabe writers
who wrote boring shit.
just keeps going and going... actually
that's the energizer bunny. Regardless
his intoxicating passion for art,
music, film, people, places, and life
in general is so electrifying that one
is inspired to get of their ass and do
something with their life much like
this prodigious young man has.
kids...everytime I see this guy, he is
working on some project! From the
first day, THE FIRST DAY I MET HIM, I
told him he was going to be famous,
and would be doing something big. I
still tell him this, because I know, I
know...that when you make it man, that
you better buy me that Cuban sandwich
I long for. (without cheese dammit!)
that the garbage is full, take a new
garbage bag from under the sink, throw
his trash in it, and then leave it next
to the full garbage. And he's a good
conversationalist.
mind always in a frenzy, ahead of
itself,
limitless---
a reflection in a fun house mirror.
a braniac winnie the pooh,
but pooh as a fuzzy spider
or plush octopus,
ass small enough
to reach the honey,
every one of his eight
or more hands
in a honey pot,
finding,
analyzing,
consuming
every different kind of honey
that exists;
essentially---
uncommon.
at the end of the day,
hands clean of honey,
they are found
covered in blue ink,
clues, words, remnants
to remind,
to be read in a mirror,
to be understood
and,
he is found
beautiful---
a freak of nature.
intelligence and wisdom ooze from every
pore; like that cyst I had to get
lanced freshman year.
We need more of his kind in the world.
