Melissa and I would do a duet of the
song, "You are so beautiful to me." She
would hit the high notes as I would do
the drag queen notes, of course. I
think "duck lips" came from the fact
that Melissa's lips very duck-esque
when she pouts.
Melissa is always entertaining... quite
a surprise actually. Some say she's
like the bandcamp girl, but that's only
because she tells funny stories that
usually make you laugh. She's full of
surprises and I personally call her the
cruise director because she calls the
shots. When we were younger, somehow
she earned the name duck lips, and now
I can't remember how (we've known each
other since first grade). She can be
easily embarrassed, but if she turns
red and punches you in the arm, it's
just an act (she loves the attention).
