About Me:
"...the issue is whether we want to live in a free society or whether we want to live under what amounts to a form of self-imposed totalitarianism, with the bewildered herd marginalized, directed elsewhere, terrified, screaming patriotic slogans, fearing for their lives, and admiring with awe the leader who saved them from destruction, while the educated masses goose-step on command and repeat the slogans they're supposed to repeat and the society deteriorates at home. We end up serving as a mercenary enforcer state, hoping that others are going to pay us to smash up the world. Those are the choices. That's the choice that you have to face. The answer to those questions is very much in the hands of people like you and me." - Noam Chomsky "Media Control"

moment ago,I gather Bush is looking
like his usual ignorant,tyrant self,Bush
must get it through his head that the US
and the rest of the world are
interdependent and the only way to
protect American people is not through
killing civilians for the sake of a couple
of American lives.Every human soul in
this world is invaluable and one is not
more dearer than the other. Bush's way
of thinking and ARROGANCY are the
root of all these hatred and terrorism
that troubles the US so much these
days.America is blessed with God's
grace to be the wealthiest nation and
therefore the most powerful nation in the
world and with that also arisen a duty
and obligation to the rest of the
world.America's position in the world is
a lot more complex NOW than how
Bush sees thing in his own world, the
US is now an INTEGRAL part of the
INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY,
people around the world rely and look
up to the US on so many facets of their
lives.
to protect the American people but due
to US's position in our modern
world,that notion is no longer valid.As a
member of the international community,
I expect more of an American president
than just a right wing ultra nationalist
fascist.I think Kerry will make a better
President, not only for Americans but
for the international community.Kerry is
a man who is willing to WORK and
COOPERATE with the rest of the
world,he is not arrogant, and he values
other nations, their rights and
honour.Kerry is well informed and
culturally rich therefore sensitive enough
not to act like a tough arrogant bully' to
the rest of the world.Kerry is the fit
leader for the US and therefore a fit
leader for the rest of the world and with
Kerry people around the world will gain
their love back for the US like we used
to feel and insya Allah peace will prevail
once again. (2/2)
Truth Hurts sings from the thick of this
sort of American consciousness Civil
War that is brewing here. Many of us
feel great shame and anger about how
our government is conducting itself
around the world and in our own back
yards as the words that we've used to
define ourselves like "freedom"
and "democracy" are quickly losing
meaning. The American identity crisis
is confusing at best. Some of us admit
we are lost and leaderless and are
searching for purpose through charged
humility and pro-active peace while
others are desperately clinging to the
precarious comforts that the illusions of
denial, arrogance, and fear offer them.
Many are never forced to suffer the
back drafts of the wasteful and
pervasively destructive American
standard of living, and some that have,
still cling to our media's pressured and
paid for delusion that America is
righteous and powerful, fair and free...
And they grasp at the strings of the
splitting rope, terrifie
remind us of what we cannot forget. So
it's no more than co-incidence that I
happen to be here, on American soil, in
September - this month of dreadful
anniversaries. Uppermost on
everybody's mind of course, particularly
here in America, is the horror of what
has come to be known as 9/11. Nearly
three thousand civilians lost their lives in
that lethal terrorist strike. The grief is
still deep. The rage still sharp. The tears
have not dried. And a strange, deadly
war is raging around the world. Yet,
each person who has lost a loved one
surely knows secretly, deeply, that no
war, no act of revenge, no daisy-cutters
dropped on someone else's loved ones
or someone else's children, will blunt
the edges of their pain or bring their
own loved ones back. War cannot
avenge those who have died. War is
only a brutal desecration of their
memory.
asked by an English journalist what
he thought about western
civilisation. After thinking for a
moment, the Mahatma replied,
"I think it would be a good idea."
away for the illustion of nationality is
a sad thing for a lost individual to
do. I should know.
condolences to the victims of embassy
bombings in Jakarta and the victims of
terrorism everywhere, terrorism is the
lowest act imaginable, it is unislamic,
barbaric, heinuous and disguting.
Truth does hurt, the truth is america has
been involved in almost every war or
conflicts in our modern world for as long
as people can remember. They have
caused sufferings and killed so many
innocent civilians for their self
importance, oil and wealth gain.
However deep down inside I know that
Americans are sincere and kind
hearted people just like the Australians
over here. Therefore it is time for the
PEOPLE and democracy to show its
true strengths by once again
conquering adversity and alter the
misguided US foreign policy of self love
and disregarding other peoples culture,
beliefs and basic RIGHTS to live
PEACEFULLY.Kerry is the man for
peace, so vote war mongering Bush out
of office NOW!and LET PEACE and
DEMOCRACY prevails in our
in the world? If not, why does America
have military bases scattered around the
world?
