I like to lounge on a summers day, all spread out and slightly pink from the heat. Maybe in a hammock looking up through the branches of a tree. Or on the warm concrete of that old bike path out by West A looking up at the stars

she was doing better than she had been
the last few times I'd stopped by.
She's polishing up her O Street necklace
and taking more interest in the world
about her. Sometimes she doesn't know
when there is too much of a good thing
like that gaudy 25-plex cinema slowly
festering on her neck, but over all
things are looking bright for our little

back in Nebraska. One of the first
things I did was to head to the Watering
Hole for wings and then make the
rounds downtown.
After all these years I can't believe the
protester at the Federal Bldg with the
unreadable writing on his T-shirt is still
there.....hasn't anyone told him we have
no idea what he's protesting?
And speaking of reading, I made my
traditional trek to the Mecca of literary
motherlodes --- A Novel Idea. I'm so
glad to see it still going strong!
Cinnamon rocks!
Sad to say it looks like the Zoo bar is
failing....what happened? Only open
during happy hour while I was there :(
Traffic in Seattle drives me crazy and it
was great to get back in the mode
of 'leisurely driving' during my stay in
Lincoln. Give me a shout if you saw me
cruising the streets in the green '72
Skylark convertible.
Architectural Wonders of the World. And the
State Capitol was also one of Hitler's favorite
buildings...and Lincoln has the highest per
capita Gay population in the country...and
once, while the movie "Twister" was playing at
a drive-in when a real tornado came through.
Did I mention that the columns on the UNL
campus will crumble if a virgin passes through
them at midnight? All totally true.
beacon in the plains. I miss it,
mostly because so many of my friends
and family are there.... but not enough
to move back. Excellent place to raise
kids and hang out.
