SUMMER MUSIC CONFERENCE BRINGS TOGETHER PROFESSIONALS IN MUSIC, MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY TO GENERATE NEW OPPORTUNITIES, CREATE SYNERGIES AND IDENTIFY TRENDS FOR THE FUTURE.
San Francisco offers a wide variety of urban dance music and is considered one of the nation's and the world's hub for new technology and up and coming artists. In addition, San Francisco sits just north of the nation's largest technology center, Silicon Valley. This gives SMC the unique opportunitiy to build relationships with industry leaders, trend setters and pioneers in digital music, licensing, online distribution and gaming industries.

SMC Panels & Topics of Discussion
The conference will include two days of panels and exhibits on Thursday September 28th and Friday September 29th, 2006. The SMC panels and exhibits will feature leading industry developers, pioneers and trendsetters that will cover a broad range of topics that are seen as key to digital music industry professionals and those aspiring to be successful in today's rapidly changing technology and media driven environment.

What is Summer Music Conference trying to accomplish?
Summer Music Conference (SMC) is building a conference that will further develop emerging technologies with the recording industry and to foster an environment for the growth of the urban and electronic music industry.
This is the West Coast's answer to WMC/M3 Summit; but with a focus on technology's (digital, web, hardware, software) impact on music and media.
As the most relevant Digital Music conference yet.....
Our focus is on quality over quantity...The two day conference event at two venues;
Venue one provides the Technology showcases, demonstrations and tools.
Venue two provides panel discussions, presentations and speakers that drive the music industry in the following areas; performing, production, technology development, distribution & marketing.
Thursday September 28th & Friday September 29th conference days will start at 11:00 am until 6:00 pm, with three panel sessions each day. Each day will also provide an opportunity to visit the exhibition area and to visit the exhibition area and participate in classroom demonstrations for hardware and software tools.
