exclusive society.. One so exclusive
that the name is known only to us two..
years and she never failed to make me
laugh and she always was there to talk
during those times when we could do
nothing more than be sarcastic bitches
and smoke lots of cigarettes, knowing
that we were in the right. yan is hilarious
and was always one of those people
that i thought, i'll see her again... fate
just runs like that... good peoples...
imagine, but oh so sweet in her own
way. She can be a true friend to anyone
who appreciates her. Truely a good
person, and deserving of the best. A
few small flaws just make her more
interesting. Except for the one that
made us miss Green Day 10 years ago,
taht one just sucks. Really though she is
great and someone who inspires others
to be better. I don't know many people
who can pick up a conversation after ten
years and make it feel like a week since
you talked. I am glad I know her, I would
just be happier if I did not miss that
concert, damnit. Oh, and watch out for
her in a mosh pit. She will lure you in
with her cute smile and throw an elbow
when you are not looking, she really is
sweet.
high school together in hongkong @
island school. the nature of our
relationship during those years was
varied, to say the least: sometimes we
were best of friends, sometimes we
were worst of enemies. but what do you
expect from a pair of drama queens!!!
(& i do mean "queens of drama,"
NOT "temperamental adolescent girls!")
our friendship was rekindled when we
ran into each other at the AIDSwalk Los
Angeles in 1992, & we were closer than
we had ever been before. she is a
kindred spirit whose thirst for the new &
exciting, and drive to see just how far
the envelope can be pushed, mirror
mine, & i appreciate having her in my
life! c'mon, yan, let's get together again
& wreak more havok on the creative
world!!!

pass since she first contacted me about
my blog, I feel comfortable writing a
testimonial for Yan. She rocks, to say
the least, but she's also politically-
minded, artistically literate, and
lovingly opinionated. A true force of
nature, this gal. And, she has an
awesome view of the city of Hong Kong
from where she's at. If I ever egt out
there, she and I have to get together
and shoot the shit and run amok.
Cruz, when we were both involved in
Women's Ensemble Theater. I am
delighted to see that she is still out
there, creating her art with no
apologies. She is evermore tough,
sweet, sexy, and gutsy! Oh, and she
can read me the phone book anytime ;)
