I sort of changed careers a few years ago--from the lucrative, white collar, high tech world to that of an airline middle manager. I've been trying to make up for the lack of pay and prestige by traveling a bunch. Mexico is my favorite destination these days. I've been to Costa Rica and can't seem to get enough of that place. My Spanish is improving, but still needs lots of work. I am presently in Alaska, for work. I have a terribly dry, irreverant sense of humor. I've even been called sarcastic at times. I do like baseball and football, but please don't hold that against me. I'm trying to find a co-rec soccer team that will let me play with them. My mother and my grandmother call me Jonathan. More of a cat person than a dog person, but I like both. Most of all, I wanna be a writer.

A few years ago I extricated myself from a messed-up marriage. In retrospect, it occurs to me that honest-to-goodness friends (not "acquaintances" or "drinking buddies" or some other superficial relationship) are of supreme importance in life. So I want to make some bonafide friends. Whaddya say? Let's be friends.
