About Me:
The 2000 election taught me more than anything that if
people don't take an active role in the political process,
things can get very, very bad. I always assumed there were
grown-ups somewhere who realized that counting all the
votes was extremely important in a representative
democracy. Unfortunately, these grown-ups were simply not
running the show. Instead, I learned from Justice Scalia
that there is no right to vote in the U.S. Constitution.
In other words, you better be ready to fight to have your
rights protected. I am determined to do everything I can
to
ensure that the voters who's voices were not heard in 2000
get their chance to be heard this time around. This means
nominating a candidate who is strong enough to win. Strong
enough that the results are never in question. That means
nominating John Edwards, the way I see it.
