first the now-legendary Caper Caberet,
then years later in the Music Man (she
was the Zaneeta to my Tommy) and
most notoriously in Brigadoon. While
these shows propelled Laruen to
stardom, they proved over and over that
I was an acceptable singer but a lousy
actor. Still, Lauren and I always had
plenty of "real" drama to talk about, and
we were there for me during some
tough teenage times. I still miss her
contagious laugh and dirty mind
(hopefully haven't outed that secret!).
probably will ever have. It's not often that you end
up with a boss and dear friend rolled into one
fabulous package. It works out great- after work we
can then get drunk at a karoke bar and make-out
with a gay couple in the parking lot. What more
could you ask for in a work environment? She is a
wonderful listener/advice-giver, and she deserves
someone who will recognize her for what she is and
return all the love and energy she gives to others.
once which is such a joke because I
don't even act. She then proceeded
to have me cut the sleeves off one of
my favorite shirts. She lives in
Connecticut which I can't make fun of
anymore because I actually work
there, but she knows my overall
opinion on all that lives in the
Nutmeg State. And she's also friggin
awesome.
at Adelphi that noticed me. And I
noticed her. Without knowing me she
put me in her show and helped me get
over alot of things. I am eternally
grateful to this chick for her blind
faith. Her heart is bigger than Carnie
Wilson's ass (before the diet). Lauren
and I just made sense, and no one asked
questions. I miss Talula and getting
ready to kick some ass for her anytime,
anyday. Miss you.
