About Me:
I will sometimes ride no-handed down the Williamsburg bridge and pretend that i am about to fall just to freak out the pedestrians. I sometimes take a piss outside not because I need to but because I prefer to. I recall one night riding around Bushwick, half-lost, in search of a party, with two friends, one on a TALL bike, waving at the gawking cheering people on the sidewalk. I remember looking and looking without finding the mysterious soiree, becoming lost and almost giving up when, lo and behold, the invisible was made visible, and, though initially skeptical due to the seemingly thin crowd, we ventured in anyway and voila, bodies writhed and squirmed to the music. I danced till dawn.

Testimonials and Comments for Mark
found myself flailing around with you in a pool of
some strange gelatonous substance.. and kinda
liking it. it turns out that the emulsifying agent in
jello is collagen from cows and pigs. yummy!
takes them to protests. Thats cool.
Hey Mark remember that time we were in
jail then I went to Rikers and you
went to Seattle. Ahh good times...
met Mark he was in the middle of telling a
story about Majorca and sawing a puppet in
half. Mark, for me, embodies the old Woody
Guthrie quote "Take is easy. But take it."
agility, that mark has. he has the
brute stregnth of an elephant, yet is
gentle and loving enough to hold a baby
in one arm, and clobber an angry
grizzly bear with the other. together
with his highly efficient intelligence
facilities and advanced kick boxing
moves, he may even be ready to fight a
giant shark, with only a few weeks of
technical shark tank instruction.
mark. an army of read.
meeting. No bullshit. No indulgent
tangents. Let's get focused here and
maybe change the world, folks.
He is also a nice guy who wears his
drink well.
song 'the seeker'. mark is an explorer and
adventurer seeking all that is genuine and
intense. this travels have taken him to the
far reaches of the globe as well as deep into
the cerebral infinity.
and in addition to being traveled and wise
he also enjoys boozing and playful
rabblerousing.
you know his middle name was Wildman? This
is no joke. Is it possible that names really do
infect a person with meaning? He says mine
did, so I'm claiming this to be true for him as
well. Mark is filled with passion, more than
most, which can sometimes run amok, causing
him to inflict serious intensity on himself (and
sometimes others). This is what I remember
anyway, it's been awhile. Mark is also an
adventursome, romanitic soul with an
amazingly idealized world view which he
fights to preserve. Never a dull moment, he is
an interesting person to have in your life.
activist community in new york. it
seems he's been kicking-ass in nyc
for awhile. he's got lots of great
stories, but mostly i enjoy his
chilled-out way of relating to people.
poilitically charged up and active folks
I met when I was in grad school. I still
remember his short film with the footage
from the amusement park. It was moving.
Mark Read. One who makes family where he
finds it, is loyal, listens good, appreciates
honesty, respects privacy. He is prone to
tempestuous displays of anger, but that
comes with the passion and conviction part.
Furthermore? He has a pickup truck, a place in
the country. He knows how to refinish floors
and use preternatural in a sentence. I am a
fan.
