glass dug out of the dirt, reinstalled
a sprinkler system, and resodded the
whole thing, so it looks like cloyne's
actually going to have a lawn in time
for spring. i still can't believe
nobody remembered to water the lawn FOR
THE ENTIRE SUMMER. oh well.
everything's looking up...or so i
thought...until i realized that amelia
won't be sunning herself on the lawn
when it does grow in. now i think a
bunch of people just wasted their time
and we probably should have built a
Freedom Missle Silo or maybe even a
brick outhouse where the grass used to
be. what the hell's the point of having
a lawn if amelia isn't going to be
laying out & reading on it every
afternoon? not much. i just hope that
blair loses the next election so g.
dubya can declare the UK a 'terrorist
state' and unilaterally invade, so then
even if amelia lives 7000 miles away at
least she'll still be in america. what
a waste. you could have stayed here
illegally, you know. people in my
family do it all the time.

the UK some ill will because of 1. The
War of 1812 and 2. The Not-Metric
System. but then the UK loaned us
Amelia for too short a spell, and she
proved herself the absolute bestest
person you'd ever want to know, and now
all has been forgiven with the UK.
that, and i found out that the US
started the War of 1812. oops.
difficult to remain a gentleman around
amelia at times because she would
always wear those sweatpants that
said "berkeley" on the bottom. i
pretty much always saw amelia when she
and shazza were making cookies. no.
it's not a joke. baking cookies. in
the convection oven.
