Marge! My grad school buddy... I don't
know what I would have done without
her to get me through those long, dark
days. There's nothing like taking a
break in between classes and hitting
the pub for a nice pint of pear cider,
or getting together for Tobey movie
nights (oops, I mean 'study
sessions'). Marge is awesome... I'm
so glad she's back in SD! :)
Marge. I have known Marge since 4th
grade. We have been through everything -
from KTEH drives, to moon shaped scars
to championship soccer tournaments
(where we were forced to play 8 games
in one day) to the endless night where
I refused to let you sleep and kept
banging your bed to keep you awake.
Madge is the coolest - she laughs at
anything, almost as a drunk person
would do, and that ladies and gentlemen
is what makes Marge, Marge.
On July 13th, I will be participating in the 2008 Lance Armstrong Foundation's Livestrong Challenge in San Jose, CA. I will be riding 100 miles that day, which will be my first Century ride ever!
My top 3 reasons for participating in the event are:
1. To support a truly worthy cause - fighting cancer. To help the Lance Armstrong Foundation raise money and awareness to inspire and empower the nearly 12 million Americans living with cancer. To honor the memory of and support my family and friends who have battled cancer.
2. To challenge myself physically (and mentally) to ride 100 miles. Hell, I've run 2 marathons (26.2 miles), time to check this Century off my list as well.
3. To hopefully see Lance Armstong in person!!
I would really appreciate it if you could support me in my fundraising efforts. My goal is to raise $2,500 for this event. Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Donations can be made directly by clicking the "Click Here to Donate" button above.
Thanks in advance for your time, generosity, and support!
Now if you feel like you would like to take part in this event as well, there is still time to sign up and train. There are several options available: 5K run, or 10, 40, 70, or 100 mile bike ride.
