About Me:
Arts education constitutes an integral part of a balanced and holistic education of every child. In an ability-driven education, arts education plays an important role in harnessing and developing the artistic talents of our pupils. To create a vibrant arts culture in our school, we have mounted a range of programmes to cater to the diverse interest of our pupils. Activities to enrich our art programmes include art workshop on finger painting, drawing cartoon faces, 'arty bean' and Chinese brush painting. Pupils who are members of the art club are taught sculpturing using scrap materials. We are eager to see the transformation of a piece of drawing to a sculpture which is a three-dimensional object.
The school prides itself on the Life Sciences Programme which focuses on orchid hybridisation and hydroponics. Four other primary schools and one secondary school in the South 2 Cluster participated in a sharing session on orchid hybridisation in Ghim Moh Primary School in March this year. The Heads-of-Department, teachers and pupils from these schools had an enriching experience when they learnt about techniques of pollination and potting. Two other sessions on preparation of nutrient media and tissue culture techniques will be conducted at the Cluster South 2 Science Centre at Queensway Secondary School.
The Life Sciences Programme is further strengthened this year to include the growing of rainbow corn. It has been a year since we embarked on the orchid hybridisation. The young plants are growing well in the flasks of nutrient media in our tissue culture room. In a few months' time, they are ready to be potted and grown in our orchid enclosure. The idea of entrepreneurship may flourish in future when pupils build on what they have learnt.
We are grateful to the parents who are involved in our Malay Language Reading Mom Programme, IT club activities and Chinese calligraphy.

I LOVE GMPS!
2005 - present
acdemically poor till p4,just got enlighten under the mango tree at our school pond HAHA.but no offence to peaple here, teachers there never gave me the chance to commit to the school or perform school events till my P5 teacher gave me the chance to recite a poem and got 3rd prize!I used to be the no future student there.but now iam a leader of a NCC unit and able to commit to the school via CCA wise and teachers there a guiding me to a great future ahead.though I WILL say the 1st confidence which gave me the position that iam in now is GMPS because of the view that they had on me which i took it as challenge.BADE FARE WELL and thanks to mrs vasagar,ms looi,mr lee and all HONSESTY house TEACHERs and friends.
