That's cool. She's cool.
All I want to say is that I was number
100 and don't I get a prize or
balloons or something?!
No, I suppose being Arianne's friend
is prize enough. Arianne rocks and
then some. woohoo!
couple months, usually when i'm only
wearing underwear and pink sunglasses
and eating a peanut butter and banana
sandwich, and we talk for awhile and
hearing her voice is always quite
complimentary and soothing while eating
brunch with a hangover. And then she
invites me to one of her parties and i find
myself in her home, raiding her liquor and
surrounded by swell richmond kids that i
never get to see. thank u arianne.
until next time...
I remember it. Do you? It is as if only
mere seconds have passed since then. I
know that I was there. Not because I
can recall what your "About Me" section
said or the picture of you in the space
suit, but rather I remember how it felt
to be near your picture for the first
time, sitting so close to my laptop
monitor. I was the luckiest person in
the world and I felt chosen by fate. I
was thinking that out of all the people
in this world how incredible it was
that I found you on Friendster.
Browsing your profile and existing in
your space. Yes I was lucky, blessed,
chosen...all at once. Then I was amazed,
astounded and breathless. Was I calm on
the outside? Inside I had never been so
desperate. Desperate to have you accept
my Friendster invitation. Desperate to
bathe in your divinity.
Arianne is my friend that I
continuously toy with about coming to
visit her. But the truth is when I
really do come out, I'm bringing Nigel
(he's been asking for you) and we're
sleeping on your couch (or at least on
your street?). Never forget the Red
Raisin Massacre, the Canyon Bandit, and
pools of butt sweat on the Grand Canyon
tram, oh and mouthing cuss words at
Jason. Tons of love!
erase the fact that I had him FIRST!
(too bad he's been chasing miss
tena too. so there.)
Still, it must be noted that it was MY
lips that you chose to plant the first
kiss of the millenium - and it is no
fairy tale that said kiss will go down
in history as the most
head-smashing, lip-bleeding,
bottle-rocket-exploding, absolutely
delicious kiss in 1000 years! And this
one was real.
kind of odd saying that about
someone you used to push around
in a dirty wheelbarrow. She is such
an amazingly unique and brilliant
individual. I've known her since she
was five when she moved in next
door. We walked to the bustop in our
plaid uniforms with drooping
kneesocks and scuffed shoes. We
laughed when we got one of the boys
next door to moon us. We layed for
hours on that big gray & white bear,
what was his name? We smuggled
your cat into my room. We would
walk each other home for an hour,
back and forth. We had so much fun.
And now you're in New York doing
cool photo things, and I'm in D.C.
doing cool design things, and you
always keep in touch, sending the
BEST correspondence.Your friend,
Lee, was right...no one will ever send
a more beautiful postcard. XOXOXO!
