      • Today Steve and I went to Bergen Bagels . We ate on a brownstone stoop, and discussed relationships, sex, and money. Then we went to the bank to deposit our checks. I realized that my checks had fallen out of my pocket. Given that it was a windy day, I didn't have much hope we'd find them. Steve spent an hour with me retracing our steps around the neighborhood. He annoyed the hell out of me with his constant insistence that I must have left the checks in my bedroom, when I knew I had not gone there after putting on my coat. He would not give up nagging and he would not give up looking. Suddenly, he saw the first check sticking out of some contruction rubble. Then he found the second check a half block away, sticking out of a subway vent. He found the third check 10 minutes later, two blocks further away, blowing above another subway vent. This is Steve: relentless, yet dependable and loyal, with great radar eyes. If you lose something, he's the man you want by your side.

      • Steve has a nice speaking voice and a seemingly ageless face. He also has an admirable joie de vivre and writes interesting songs. He seems to care about his community and world. This is probably the least jokey Friendster testimonial I've written, but I wanted it to perhaps have some actual impact on Steve's dating life.

      • Steve, I think you need an obfuscating in-jokey, esoteric-yet-spiritually appropriate nickname.

        How about "Nature's Miracle"?

        Let me know.

      • Steve is one of the most beautiful people walking the planet. He's so damn cute, and has this adorable way of talking with his hands. Instead of using his index finger to make a point, he uses his ring finger. He also scratches his nose with his ring finger.

He also laughs really hard and really loud when he finds something funny, and he finds a lot of things funny.

Steve is also a great listener. It's so easy to talk with him, because we can talk in a type of shorthand. He can sometimes put into words what I'm feeling better than I can. And he always roots for me, as I do for him. This is great fun.

Steve is also my best songwriting friend. We can talk in shorthand about songs, too. He'll understand the significance of that one strange chord that absolutely needed to be there--the same chord that no one else would hear or understand in a million years.

Steve's a catch, and most chicks who know him know it. He deserves the best, and believes you do, too. So ask him out! :)

      • I met steve when I was 18, that was thirteen years ago. I actually heard a cassette tape by him before I met him, that made me want to meet him. I said, "Who is this guy, singing about-Dont get to have fun". Then he personally hand picked me out of Seattle and sponsored my transplant to NY. He also promised to marry me in ten years.
I have called him long distance in the middle of the night crying in dire agony, and he comforted me out of a spell. He has been a dear friend for ages. He is also a very supportive co-artist and encouragement coach! Steve is an odd and wonderful creature of musical development and inspiritians. He has an amazing collection of musical instruments. I can highly recommend Steve as a friend and more, but ladies be sure to negotiate your demands upfront.
Steve also knows a lot a great people. He hosts great parties. He has awesome taste in food and is a good dancer.
Get him to go to the art museum too, that is always a fun time with Steve!

      • It's not fair to write a testimonial about a guy you knew for a brief time 20 years ago, but so what. The thing I like most about this guy is he knows his voice and uses it. That's not all, but that's all for now.
