a Hail to the Thief t-shirt, but he
didn't shoot me down because apparently
I was a 'legit' radiohead fan because
we'd been to the same concert at Alpine
valley. I think he could also sense my
fellow midwestern-disillusioned-catholic
vibe. Al is proof that there is more to
Wisconsin than cheese. Did I mention he
plays guitar? Notably absent from Al's
interests is botany, specifically his
penchant for exotic flowers. I think
his favorite is the lotus flower. Yes
ladies truly a renaissance man.
Me (upon seeing that Al was sporting a
stylish Radiohead "Hail to the Thief" T-
shirt)..."Hey, you like Radiohead? I'm a
huge fan too!!"
Al: "ummm"...[walking away, rolling his
eyes]
Me: rejected and dejected...
haha...i would never have guessed then
that he would become such a good
friend. Allen is an amazing person with
awesome taste in music. Even more
importantly (thought few things are...)
he's one of the most down-to-earth, fun
people...and he actually laughs at my
jokes (sometimes)..!
for me.
Mean Girls? The indian kid on the math
team that hooks up with the chick at
the end? Well, that's Allen.
what i could say about allen. i've
known this boy for many years...this
kid is one of the nicest guys you can
meet and he's going to be a freaking
doc x 2 although many years from now.
we'll have a good time in detroit this
summer...don't worry, even though
deepak and mukund are coming we'll
still get some action! anyways, i'm
going to try to hit up chicago for
residency and we can hang out more
then. till then, later. oh yeah, did
i mention this kid can play
football...he's my terry glenn.
the things I think about Allen, but
I'll try to the best of my ability to
give you a taste of this amazing
individual. Allen is a guy that
incredibly intelligent, good at heart
and a caring person that can always
lend a listening ear. He always means
well, even if at times, they don't seem
to go the way he plans, i.e. "the
incident" (you can ask Allen about that
one!) ha ha. I can see this guy going
extremely far in life, just remember
sala, don't forget to let me tag along
for the ride! He's laid back, but once
in a while manages to fly at the seat
of his pants, or at least climb over
fences at the seat of his pants :-)
Although we both are busy, perhaps him
more than me, we manage to keep in
touch and for that I am thankful for.
He truly understands the tribulations
of the common man and always provides
some piece of useful advice.
are so lonely without you here. I wish
you would cum over more often. You can
stay at my place any time...
