to commend her. She's been a
perpetually friendly, welcoming face to
me here in Atlanta, and we've had many
hours of pleasant and stimulating bar-
chatter betwixt us.

Stuart are truly frightening when they

old. But what a great person to grow
old with! I love that our friendship
is full of laughter, and that she has
as high a regard for good grammar as I
do. I also love that she is one of the
few people who can challenge me in
Trivial Pursuit (but, due to my
fragile ego, I refuse to play her on
any of those new-fangled pop culture
versions of TP!). And she introduced
me to Jonathan Richman, and for that I
am forever grateful. I LOVE THIS WOMAN!

Britpop bands apart, will make you a
mix tape to clarify the issue. She did
in one case, anyway. It's thanks to
her that I can now tell Blur from
Pulp. She's the best thing to come out
of Simpsonville since... well, if I
could think of anything or anybody else
that originated in Simpsonville, I'd
say that. And I agree: she does, in
fact, know everything.
