historical/action films, Movies With Satan, Scrabble, all
things ornate and overdramatic, loud
clubs and quiet pubs, crowded cities and deserted
islands... new experiences and things I can depend on.
I'm the main promoter (along with my partner, Jason) for
the goth lounge Alchemy, every Monday at CBs Gallery in
NYC. I do the band bookings. I also bartend at CBGB (since
1991..or was it 1990? A long time).
I'm
in
the MLS program at QC GSLIS, and am working on my Archives
and Manuscripts certificate in conjunction with that.
Currently doing an internship at the library of the
American Museum of Natural History, helping out on a
digitization project.
I've been with Jason since 1996. Something that still
amazes and make me happy every day! He's not nearly dorky
enough to put all his info online, and he's on an e-mail
boycott, so if you want anything from him, ya gotta use
the telephone (!) or ask me.

Althea when she was just beginning to
dabble in purple hair dye.... before New
York. Curiously down to earth for
someone so steeped in appealing
mythology, I learned a lot from her
about everything, especially interesting
authors like Marion Zimmer Bradley. It
is so nice to see that she was right
about needing to go north to find a more
kindred spirits. I met her when she was
working in a library so I'm so glad to
see that she has gotten the MLS. Any
library she ends up in will surely
become a haven for interesting people
and ideas.

Goths. She is also a walking
encyclopedia of sci-fi and fantasy
literature. Althea knows how to set
me off on long rants when we are
closing the club, much to her
boyfriend's displeasure.

is such a wonderful woman, so sweet and
fun to be around and very thoughtful.
