Fusion dance has taken this country by storm. Described as a dance in which multiple styles of dancing are incorporated, (ex: Bollywood, Indian Pop, Hip-hop, Bharatnatyam, etc), fusion dance is the focal point of Chicago Agni.

Creating a heat wave across the nation, Chicago Agni strives to "Ignite the Passion Within by pitting teams ready to blaze a trail through the great city of Chicago.

Chicago Agni will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2007, at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago. Teams from across the nation will compete to engulf the audience in a spectacular fusion dance show and for the honor of getting crowned as one of the nation's elite dance fusion teams.

The winner of Chicago Agni will be privileged with an automatic bid to the national Best of the Best (www.bobchicago.com) competition in April and the Top Naach competition (www.missionmiamilive.com) in Fall of 2007!

And if that weren't enough, teams will be also competing for $5000...yes $5000 in cash prizes!

Teams performing in Chicago Agni will exhibit three commanding characteristics:

POISE: composure; a dignified, self-confident manner or bearing.

PASSION: a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything.

PERSEVERANCE: steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., esp. in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.
