Gracioso Sonora Choir

Gracioso Sonora Choir was founded in 1999 by Mrs. Amanda Hasibuan and Budi Susanto Yohanes.
The choir unites 50 gifted singers selected from university and high school students in Malang.
The choir performs regularly at services in churches and has accomplished 15 concerts in Indonesia, Singapore, and Korea.
With a special focus on the music of the Indonesian folksongs, the choir has performed choral works in a wide range of styles and periods.

Gracioso Sonora Choir has followed choir competitions, achieving:
- The 1st place for Folklore Category in the 1st Parahyangan Catholic University Choir competition 2001
- The runner up for Small Choir Category, and the 1st place for Folklore Category in the XVIII Bandung Institute of Technology Choir Festival 2002
- The 1st place for Folklore Category, the 1st place for Popular Music Category, and the Grand Champion in the 2nd Parahyangan Catholic University Choir competition 2003
- The 1st place for Folklore Category, the 1st place for Popular Music Category, and the 1st place for Musica Sacra Category in the 3rd Parahyangan Catholic University Choir competition 2005
- The third place (Bronze Medal) for Ethnic Category in the Busan International Choral Festival 2006, Busan - South Korea
- Silver Prize for Classic Mixed Choir Category and Bronze Prize for Ethnic Category in Busan Choral Festival & Competition 2008
