Oh, how kind, compassionate and generous Franklin is: when I was at my all-girls Catholic high school and he was at our "brother" school, one innocent, illicit afternoon phone call somehow convinced me that we were dating, never mind the fact that we hadn't seen each other since 8th grade graduation. I burst in to homeroom the next day, so exhilarated that I was finally no longer the biggest loser in the sophomore class...everyone was shocked at this ugly duckling's sudden romantic success, most of all Franklin, I'm sure. Such a sweetheart he was, he didn't have the heart to tell me that I wasn't his type. At ALL. :)

When I ran in to him at college three years later, he diplomatically chose to not remind me of such a humiliating, stupid error. I can't believe I met you twenty years ago. I'm grateful that this social networking timesuck has reunited me with my first imaginary boyrfriend, the proto-Will to my Grace-free ass. TWENTY YEARS! I met him when he was two, obviously. ;)

When I first met Franklin in Athens, OH for the 2002 Fraternity Convention, I never thought in a million years that he would be another ChE. Once I found out, he is one of the most down-to-earth ChE people I've met and so much fun to hang out and party with. Next time I am traveling to CA for work, I will make sure to give him a call and we can both party the Lambda Way! I am giving him 5 thumbs up for being an awesome ChE and an awesome fraternity brother. :) :)
