      • Libby was my first Midtown roommate, and
she rocks! If I had to describe her,
I'd have to say she was the best person
I've ever known. Memphis just isn't the
        same without her.

      • I remember when I first met Libby 13
years ago, we were running red
lights in downtown Memphis in her
        purple Barracuda, handing out flyers
for a punk rock show that her band
was playing at a skating rink (picture
a big roller skate with a wing).
Helping Memphis punks to take a
break from their normal ,"Hey man
whacha got ? you mean you took yur
sock off and soaked it gasoline n'
now you wanna chew on it at my
place ..."", routine. A truly sublime
Angel of Mercy furiously kicking our
        asses towards enlightenment, and
she still hasnt given up on me.
        Thank you Libby

      • Being with Libby is like sipping a bourbon &
soda on a porch swing on a cool autumn
day. Everything sort of settles down into
stillness. I could keep going with the
metaphors and it would all be true.
When I was in college she sent me these
fabulous hand made books. They were
really unbelievable. She was a true friend
from the moment I met her. Cross her and I
        will kill you.

      • what the others have written about
Libby here are all very true. after
knowing her over 10 years i can say
it's rather difficult to put here all her
        spiffyness in a paragraph.

you don't have to look far in today's
world to get cynical about the
        concept of God's love.
but with Lib around not only does
this idea seem to make more since,
you feel you could actually reach out
and hold, touch it. and when you do
it's great, like when you held playdo
in your had for the first time, smelled
Thai curry or the first time you
        experienced walking on a beach.

i do recommend Libby, but you better
        treat my sister right!

      • I know Libby will approve my
        testimonial because she is so
        supportive and positive. She's even
got me using Friendster when I have
vowed not to! Plus, she is a fantastic
artist who's latest installation has to
        be seen to be believed....

that you cherish, like a lunar eclipse. You
are privileged to know her and to hear her
talk. She's a great artist with captivating
blues eyes, well spoken, sweet yet strong
with a creative spirit. It's been a pleasure
and I look forward to exploring the mazes of
philosophy and religion with her again.

      • Libby is wonderful. She has the
largest, bluest eyes I've ever seen,
like the sky or the ocean when the sand
        runs close underneath. I remember
meeting her at art camp in 1994. She
told me that she had financed her road
trip from Memphis to Maine by asking
people if she could make drawings of
them for donations at rest stops. I
thought that was really cool. Libby
has an easy way about her. She is an a
natural artist, the real thing. She
seems like one of the most feminine
creatures on the planet, but she is so
strong. She rents a huge artist loft
in downtown brooklyn and has managed
many tenants for many years. When she
moved into the space it was physically
hostile to inhabitation and she made it
into a beautiful space over the years.
She is an expert glass blower and you
should see that. She carries huge
heavy metal poles around the glass
studio with molten glass on the end,
constantly turning it and keeping it
the right temperature. It would look
like ballet, if it weren't in such an
        industrial setting. Libby also gets
        along with everyone. Everyone loves
Libby. She is able to talk and
negotiate with even the most defensive
quiet, hard to talk to people. I think
she is not afraid of everything. Libby
is a Pisces. I think Libby should know
that, similarly to the way my beau and
I call her cat "bunny cow", we have
another friend with a small dog named
Maggie, who's name has become "Maggot",
and we just found a lizard, who eats
our abundant supply of grasshoppers and
we have named him "Icky". The world is
a much better place because Liberty is
        in it.
