      • About Me:

I am a scholar of Middle Eastern studies. Arabic has been
a major aspect of my study in this field. However, I have
also studied Turkish, Akkadian, Avesta, and Baluchi.I have
been to the Middle East twice. The first time was from
July of 1981 to July of 1982 during my military service(I
        was in the Air Force). The second time was as as civilian;
I taught English at the Manarat School in Riyadh, Saudi
Arabia. That was during the latter part of 1999 and the
        very early part of 2000.
I have also been to the Far East; I taught English at the
Dae Young Institue in Ko Chang, South Korea in 1996.
Part of my endeavor with Middle Eastern studies has led me
to write some novels set in the ancient Middle East. The
        titles of them are:

        Ilat
        Najmah's Gifts to Dousares
        Sand Beneath the Rainbow

These novels are illustrated. The artist who illustrated
Ilat and Najmah's Gifts to Dousares is Candice Eisenfeld.
An artist named Brittany illustrated Sand Beneath the
        Rainbow.
However, not all of my fictional works have been set in
the Middle East. I have also written some science fiction
novels. The titles of them are:

The Star Locusts (illustrated by James Macfadzean)
Cyborgs and Greens(illustrated by Candice Eisenfeld)
        Lavender Starlight(illustrated by Candice Eisenfeld)

One other academic interest that I have is paeleontology.
        It has long fascinated me.
