Formed in Early 2007 as The Effect Of Monotone Music Style, in Their Sub-Urban City Of Samarinda. Spent most of the early of January 2007 by practicing and performing their own materials, as well as Their favorite Bands, Like The Killers, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Radiohead, U2, MUSE, MEW, The Cure, The Verve, and also indonesian band Kaimsasikun.

In Early of March 2007, The band starts to performing their own Songs, and need a synthesizer player, then Oned ask Oki (his Old-Band-Mate) to joining the band. After Perticipating Some Band Competitions (Regionally and Nationally) by playing their own songs, and won some of them, The band were getting solid and knowing well in their City. But sadly In November 2007 Edo left due to Finish his College education and replaced by Agung Rifani (as Known As Vani) Who Played the Drums Set as well as Edo did.

Through 2008 dearlucy has been working hard creating their Debut Album materials such as The Questions, The Spring Song, Rainy Day, Selfish, Youll Be Mine, etc That speaks life decadence today. The lyrics and songs mostly writed by viQue, but the band always working the music together in a number of rented rehearsal studios.
Recording process are doing marathonely Started from April 2007 throughout the end of 2008, in Enggang Borneo (Samarinda) Recording studio. The album, planned to release in the middle of 2009 and the album tittle still undecided yet.

The Band continued their guerilla promo strategy, performed on underground gigs and highschool/College music events. Promoting their songs to various medias, helped by Numbered great names such as Tried "the Crackers", Alunk, Adi, Ivan "Pencil", Novi Umar (local Musician And Songwriter) and RizQ "Ex-The Crackers" as Sound Engineer, the band is getting Mature in the making and think of their music materials, sound quality, and stage-act.

Today, the band still doing what they do best: Having Fun with Music, playing, spitting rough facts about the band's myth and bollocks...independently. Welcome to dearlucy experience!
