      • many of you may know of eli's artistic prowess with the camera, but did you know this? eli also very conveniently prints his pictures to standard sizes. that may not sound like much of anything, but i found myself yelling several times this weekend, "i love eli van zoeren!" as I matted photos of his that i got at bARTerfest a while back when i discovered that each of them was conveniently standard. if you know how tricky it is to mat pictures, you will understand how great that makes eli. if you don't, just have faith in the power of eli to make your life easier at unexpected times.

      • Eli, that photograph of you at age 5 needs to be donated to the Milwaukee Public Museum to use in their butterfly hall. Seriously. It looks like it came right off a museum poster. You were quite cute at five. It's all about the childhood pics on friendster! I look like a gangster in one of mine. Glad to see you're still poking around on Friendster, Eli!

      • every night I go outside and stand on the table on the patio on the south side of our house and shout, as loud as I can, "HEY ELI, HOW'S NEW ORLEANS?!"

        but I never get an answer. probably because it takes a while for sound to carry that far.

      • Eli Van Zoren. Man, life is hard to deal
        with without this man. I've been doing it
        for a year now, and I think I might cry.
        Did you know, back in the day, Eli used
        to eat Kraft Single Cheese with the
        plastic wrap still on? A man that can do
        that, you know is amazing. But the
        thing about Eli that I'll never forget is the
        day he attacked the rabid Beloit College
        Possum when we were walking through
        the quad one drunken college night.
