ABOUT DJ KUMA:

Kuma's interest in music started at a very young age. At the age of 14 he began experimenting with cassette tapes making compilations and dub tapes for his friends and classmates. As his passion for music grew stronger he began to hang out at the local clubs watching DJs perform. That influenced him even more and he started learning to DJ. Kuma played his first gig at the age of 16 for a private party. He got his first residency at the age of 19 in a hill holiday resort. That was when he first experienced dance music.

Dj kuma has played in clubs such as Emporium, Nouvo, Qbar, Zouk, Atmosphere, Barcode, Tube, Warehouse135, Vudu, Absinth, Industry, Ariels house, Tides Hotel, Juice Bar. He has played along-side international DJs such as Mauro Picotto, Vicky Devine(slinky), Daniel Bailley(slinky), Scott Mac(gatecrasher), Less Ham Stock(gatecrasher), Nick Riley(gatecrasher), Kokimura and Timo Maas to name a few. As his fans grew bigger, his music traveled further, playing his legendary 6 hour set in Manila, full moon party Thailand, Hong Kong, Bali, Cebu. Dj kuma was the first Malaysian DJ to be invited to play at the world famous Bora Bound summer party in the Balearic island of Boracay. He was also a regular guest in DJ Chinoise's vinyl frontier radio show on Red FM 104.9. Dj Kuma now holds the house sessions at the new Rum Jungle Kuala Lumpur.

Armed with an uncompromising style that is solely designed for the witching hour, Dj Kuma continues to win a new legion of fans with every gig he does.
