happy 23!
sarah anywhere in the world right about
now.
a cup of tea and a baked good. . .or
some tapas and a cocktail. . .dinner and
a glass of red wine. . . hell, i'd settle for
mcdonalds if it meant being able to
smooch and squeeze and laugh loudly
about things.
and i would wear my sequins. . .and she
would wear her pins. . .and we'd both
have red hair. . . and it would be the
most wonderful.
oh how i love and miss my friend sarah.
handful of African diamonds in the pocket of a
dorky gray winter coat that smells like
boredom and poop and came from a bad
salvation army. She was a remarkable and
utterly unexpected find in this bleak, weird
place. And even though I can't take her to a
pawn shop and spend her, she does pay off
in other ways. Here are just three ways
how:
1) She almost made me snort cheesburger
when she did a killer impression of a co-
worker; the girl is ridicuously witty.
2) She gives extraordinary and insightful
feedback.
3) She asks the best questions, like, "Do you
have a signature scent?"
Really, Sarah is the most well-balanced
bundle of intruigue, thoughtfulness,
originality, and beauty I've ever encountered.
I can't wait to keep knowing her.
